CEO and Head Speech Therapist
Maura M. Edwards is the CEO of Speech Therapy Solutions, LLC of Huntsville and Madison, Alabama. Maura holds a M.S. (Masters of Science) in Communications Disorders and maintains the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competency-Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). She is licensed by the State of Alabama in Speech-Language Pathology and has held previous SLP licenses in the States of New York, Texas, North Carolina, and Kentucky.
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
Maura Edwards provides speech-language therapy to the pediatric population within the Madison County area. She is associated with a variety of well respected local agencies serving children including Premier Preschools and Applied Behavioral Concepts. Maura has over 25 years of experience diagnosing and treating speech-language delays and disorders, in a variety of settings and across many medical diagnoses. Maura’s passion is focused on developing and implementing functional communication plans for children, in order that they may establish and maintain life-long relationships with family and friends.
Actively Building a Stronger Community
Maura Edwards is honored and excited to be a part of North Alabama Children First, an alliance among early care and education providers, advocates, and parents which forms a collaborative task force for several First Class sites throughout North Alabama. Speech Therapy Solutions is involved in this organization to help create an efficient and easy way to notify the community of events/topics centered around the life of a child.
Speech-Language Development Workshop Series
Maura offers the Speech Therapy Solutions Workshop Series to parents, teachers and everyone in the community throughout the year. In a combined effort with Premier Preschools and Applied Behavioral Concepts and the Speech Therapy Solutions staff, Maura Edwards educates Workshop participants with information and professional advice on a variety of human development topics. Throughout each Workshop she relays real-life experiences and provides participants opportunities to connect with one another.
